Hello friend, Call me Rae

I’m a fairy of many trades: A well being educator, sports scientist, artist, world traveler, medicine woman…

At the heart of it all, I hold space for people to nourish their mind, body, and playful spirit so they don’t mash up their nervous system in pursuit of big dreams.

In what feels like another life, I was an elite volleyball athlete and S&C coach. All I knew was sport. I was a 2x NCAA All-American, inducted into my university’s Sports Hall of Fame for being a badass (shout out McKendree) and eventually moved to London to play and coach as well.

BUT the gag of it all?? Sport left me burnt the fuck out. I’m talking crispy!

I was overtraining with an eating disorder, living with chronic pain, and facing panic attacks that were suffocating me… dare I say, literally.

It pissed me off that even with a master’s in health and sports science, I felt lost when it came to understanding what health felt like.

I returned to the creative passions I had abandoned for sport while immersing myself in the world of holistic health.

I arts, crafted and danced my heart out while educating myself on the menstrual cycle, somatics, fascia, herbalism and most importantly breathing.

I discovered two things…

1) I was taught a whole bunch of pseudo(sport)science that didn’t match the reality of an athletes experience — especially female athletes…

2) The worlds of sport and art have so much wisdom to offer each other! That’s why my my noble quest is to BLEND THIS SHIT TOGETHER FOR ULTIMATE SUPER SAIYAN POWERS… duh…

I jumped back into sport… only this time in Ghana where I worked for 4 months in a brand new sport territory: aquatics. And Ghana — that was new territory lol.

Now, I’m currently based in San Diego.

I teach interdisciplinary wellness practices to support diverse communities in developing the skills and courage to listen to their bodies for longevity throughout the cycles of life.

If you’re the holistic-thinking, creative-loving, curious type who wants to send glorified burnout culture back to the pits of hell… you’d probably love my newsletter.
